Lovely plants, flowers, twinkle lights, lamp lights and a scented candle provide a lovely, calm waiting experience, and it's gets better after that. Every nurse, desk assistant, and then Dr. Burgess himself was kind, considerate, respectful, and genuine in their service, and they explain everything in detail to you and answer any questions you have. This office has worked hard to go above and beyond the typical dentist office experience, and I find myself looking forward to when I have to go back for another cleaning in 6 months!"

Dr. Karl Burgess

Meet Dr. Burgess

Dr. Karl Burgess graduated from Oglethorpe University in 1978 and from Ohio State University Dental School in 1981. After completing his U.S. Air Force General Practice Residency, Dr. Burgess started his private practice in 1984. Dr. Burgess is the past president of DeKalb Dental Study Club and is a member of the Georgia Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. Burgess was born in England and then moved to Canada. His family moved around a lot so he was like a military brat. He came to Georgia by way of New Hampshire, Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Louisiana and South Carolina. He likes to fix things and it's always nice to see a smile on the patient's face at the completion of the visit. When he's not working, he enjoys spending his leisure time golfing.

Beth Dull - Office Manager

Beth is an Atlanta native and was the Patient Coordinator for the graduate program of Periodontology at Emory University School of Dentistry. She has worked in the dental industry since 1985 and joined our practice in 1999. Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, cooking, martial arts, and riding ATV's with her father, sister and all the extended family that includes nieces and nephews.

Sarah joined our practice in 2000 and after devoting a few years to be a full-time mom, has returned. She has specialized training in surgical assisting. She is married with two children. In her free time, Sarah is an autism advocate. She enjoys baking, laughing and being with her family.

April Chiles - Financial Coordinator

April Chiles - Financial Coordinator

April is a native to Atlanta and has worked in the dental industry since 2004. Her background is in endodontic assisting and front desk duties. She is a supporter of Susan G. Komen and the March of Dimes. When she's not working, she spends time with her fiancé (no official date set to walk down the aisle!) and her two daughters. April enjoys crocheting, do-it-yourself projects, and shopping.

Sarah Glass - Registered Dental Hygienist

Sarah joined us in 2007 and loves working with our wonderful patients. She is married with two boys and attends Grace Fellowship Church. Sarah spends her free time with family and friends, vacationing, photography, going to movies and reading.

Kim Griffin - RDH

Kim Griffin- Registered Dental Hygienist

Kim was born in Hollywood, Florida. She graduated from MCG in Augusta with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene and returned to our practice in 2010 after taking time off to be a full-time mom. She has two grown children and enjoys walking, running, shopping, trips to the beach and attending 12 Stone Church.
